This 6 hour course teaches Level One in the series of 3 (beginning, intermediate, advanced) levels of the ancient art of Energy Work. This will include the study of both Reiki and Healing Touch and a basic introduction to the human chakra system. Reiki can be described as a laying on of hands and the transformation of energy. Healing Touch uses the medical model of energy work based on the teaching of founder Janet Mentgen. In this 6 hour course, you will learn the basic information on chakras, hand positions, and the philosophy for Reiki and Healing Touch as it pertains to massage therapy. The course will include a textbook and handouts.
